What is the Leg Lifter from Homecraft?

The Leg Lifter from Homecraft is an easy tool that enables the user to move a stiff or immobile leg, when trying to get into bed, transferring to a wheelchair, footstool or getting into a car.

The reinforced webbing strap with a semi-rigid stem is designed to help the user move an immobile or injured leg with ease without assistance.

Ideal mobility aid after a hip or knee replacement

The upper loop fits around the hand and wrist, and the lower stiffened loop slides over the foot to give control when lifting the leg.

Instructions to use the transfer equipment:

  • Loop the Leg Lifter over the foot. The semi-rigid insert allows the user to do this without the need for bending forward and touching their toes.
  • Then, while holding the handle, the user can support the movement of the leg and the foot, in getting in and out of bed.
  • The Leg Lifter can also be used to support both legs in one movement. Simply loop the Leg Lifter over one foot, and then cross that leg under the other.
