The Smart Stand helps one carer move a person from bed to chair, chair to commode or toilet, without a hoist and without the heavy lifting. The person holds the frame and pulls up through a natural standing movement, then is turned and lowered – seated on the fold-out seat pads or standing – wherever they need to go.

Who it suits
The user needs some arm strength and must be able to take weight through their legs to pull up and stand. If they cannot weight bear at all, a sling hoist is the safer option – an occupational therapist or physiotherapist can assess this.
