Buying guide
- Self-propelled chairs have large rear wheels the user pushes; transit chairs have small wheels and are pushed by a carer.
- Measure hip width while seated and add about 25mm each side to pick the seat width.
- Check the chair's folded size and weight if it will travel in a car boot.
- Solid tyres never go flat; pneumatic tyres give a softer ride on rough ground.
- Confirm the maximum user weight on the product page.
Questions
Which seat width do I need?
Most adults fit a 46cm (18") seat. Choose 40–43cm for slimmer users and 50cm or wider for larger users or bulky clothing.
Can I use funding to buy a wheelchair?
That depends on your plan and goals, so check with your plan manager, support coordinator or funding body before you buy. We supply a tax invoice listing the item and our ABN.
How is a wheelchair delivered?
Chairs ship folded in a carton. We deliver Australia-wide and quote the delivery fee before dispatch.
