The Breezy Relax is a transit wheelchair for people who cannot hold themselves upright in a standard chair for long. Gas-assisted tilt-in-space shifts the whole seat back to take weight off the pelvis, and a separate recline opens the hip angle, so a carer can change the user's position through the day without a transfer.
Why it works
- Tilt (-2 to 20 degrees) and recline (0 to 40 degrees) give postural relief and help prevent sliding
- Gas-assisted mechanisms mean a carer can tilt a seated adult with little effort
- Removable headrest with adjustable side supports for people with poor head control
- Padded, contoured backrest adjusts for height; seat depth adjusts and has an inbuilt pommel
- Swingaway elevating legrests with calf pads, and height-adjustable arms with padded side panels
- Drum brakes on the push handles let the attendant slow the chair on slopes
- Alloy frame with water-resistant upholstery and 16-inch solid rear tyres
