The SAF cushion is a two-layer foam seat cushion for people who sit for long stretches in a wheelchair or armchair and need relief from pressure on the sitting bones. A soft pink foam infused with gel moulds to the body and spreads the load, while a firmer grey foam underneath stops the cushion bottoming out and keeps the pelvis stable. It comes in four sizes, each with or without a fluid resistant cover.
Why it works
- Gel-permeated pink layer absorbs shock and conforms to your shape for even pressure distribution
- Firm grey base layer holds posture and prevents sinking through to the seat
- Convoluted open-cell surface lets air move under you, keeping skin cooler and drier
- Whole cushion is machine washable up to 95°C, so it can be properly laundered rather than just wiped
- Foam does not harbour bacteria
- Fluid resistant cover option protects the foam where continence is a concern
- Made in Italy

Choosing a size
Measure the seat of the wheelchair or chair – width first, then depth – and pick the closest size that does not overhang. The 41 x 41cm suits standard 16" wheelchair seats; 45 x 41cm and 45 x 45cm suit 18" seats; 50 x 50cm suits 20" seats and wide armchairs. Choose the cover option if the cushion will be used by someone with incontinence or in a shared setting.

Returns
Unused products in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery with proof of purchase. A 25% restocking fee applies and return postage is at your cost. Hygiene items — incontinence, braces, toileting and personal care — cannot be returned once opened unless faulty. Faulty goods are covered by the Australian Consumer Law and our warranty at no cost.
