Buying guide
- Measure the inside and outside width of your bath rim. Bath boards and swivel seats list the bath widths they fit.
- Check whether your bath has a moulded or sloped edge, as some boards need a flat rim to sit securely.
- A transfer bench is usually the safer choice if the person cannot lift their legs over the bath edge.
- Look at the user weight rating and choose heavy-duty if needed.
- An occupational therapist can watch a transfer and confirm which option suits the person and the bathroom.
