Shower Chairs & Stools
Sitting down to shower takes the pressure off tired legs and reduces the need to balance on a wet floor. This range includes shower stools, shower chairs with arms and backrests, folding shower chairs, extra-wide stools and mobile shower commodes, including tilt-in-space models for people who need more postural support.

Buying guide
- Measure the inside of your shower recess and check the chair's footprint, including the spread of the legs, fits with room to move.
- Seat height matters: the person's feet should rest flat on the floor with knees at about a right angle. Look for height-adjustable legs if you are unsure.
- Choose arms and a backrest if the person needs help sitting down, standing up or staying upright.
- Check the user weight rating and seat width. Wide and bariatric options suit larger users.
- Mobile shower commodes and tilting chairs are usually chosen with an occupational therapist, particularly where a carer assists.
Questions
Stool or chair?
A stool suits someone with good sitting balance who just needs to rest. A chair with a back and arms gives more support when sitting, standing and washing.
Can I return a shower chair?
Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days, with a 25% restocking fee. Faulty items are covered by Australian Consumer Law.
Do you provide invoices for my NDIS plan?
Yes. Self-managed and plan-managed participants receive a claim-ready tax invoice. Agency-managed participants can order through our partner Ability Assist.
