Raised Toilet Seats

A raised toilet seat lifts the sitting height so there is less distance to lower down and push up from. This collection includes moulded raised seats in several heights, seats with lids, seats with armrests, upholstered and portable seat raisers with carry cases, and toilet paper aids for people with limited reach.

Buying guide

  • Measure from the floor to the back of the person's knee while they stand, then compare with your toilet height to decide how much lift you need.
  • Check how the seat attaches. Some clamp onto the pan, others rest on it, and fit depends on pan shape.
  • Armrests help if the person pushes up with their hands rather than their legs.
  • Portable raisers suit travel or homes where several people share the toilet.
  • Confirm the user weight rating on the product page.

Questions

Which height should I choose?

The aim is for feet flat on the floor and hips level with or slightly above the knees. An occupational therapist can confirm the right height.

Can a raised toilet seat be returned?

Because they are hygiene products, raised seats cannot be returned once used. Unused seats in original packaging can be returned within 14 days with a 25% restocking fee.

Is a quote needed for NDIS?

Low-cost assistive technology under $1,500 can usually be bought without a quote. Check with your plan manager, and we will supply a claim-ready tax invoice.
