What is the Double Key Turner from Homecraft?

The Double Key Turner from Homecraft is a foldable key turning aid that makes it easier for those with a limited mobility or dexterity function to open a locked door or close it. The turner can hold a maximum of three-cylinder keys.

The blue key turner aid is ergonomically designed with a curved grip handle for more leverage when holding and turning the key in the lock. Instead of turning the key with the tips of the fingers and thumb, the key is turned with the whole hand, including the palm. The Double Key Turner from Homecraft can hold two keys that are easily attached with a screw.

Who benefits from the Foldable Key Turner?

The key handle is made for those with limited hand strength like:

  • Seniors
  • Those with arthritis, osteoporosis, carpal tunnel, myopathy, wrist pain or Parkinson's disease

How to place keys in the Key Turner?

  • Remove the screw
  • Align the hole in your key with the holes in the key turner and replace the screw in its original position.
  • Ensure that the nut is in the hexagonal shaped section of the handle and then tighten the screw.

Before you buy

  • Check the weight rating. Pick a safe working load comfortably above the user's weight.
  • Measure the space. Doorways, shower recesses and the gap beside the toilet decide what fits — use the measuring guide in Tools.
  • Renting? Anything fixed to a wall needs the landlord's OK in writing.
  • Funded? Keep the invoice — it is claim-ready for NDIS, DVA and Home Care Package. Check with your plan manager.
