What is the Walking Frame by BetterLiving?

The Betterliving Walking Frame with wheels and skis is a strong yet lightweight walking frame that is height adjustable. Made from high-quality aluminium, this two-wheel walker has a solid construction that is able to support a maximum user weight of 180kg.

Please note that the Domestic Walking Frame is designed for indoor use.

If you need help with walking, a two-wheel frame can provide just the right balance, offering support yet allowing independent mobility. It is the most stable of all the walking aids when you become unsteady or when the risk of a fall increases.

The Zimmer frame is adjustable in height

The walking frame can be adapted to suit your exact dimensions to ensure maximum comfort and ease of use. The height adjustable legs allow an overall height range of 81.5 cm up to 99 cm. The frame features two wheels – with a diameter of 12.5 cm – in the front and two skis in the rear, allowing you to slide the frame across the floor.

Profiled Hand Grips of the Rollator with Front Wheels and Skis

The 2 wheel walker features soft hand grips which help to ensure better support and comfort. The foam is soft to the touch and provides some extra grip to prevent fatigue of the hands, making locomotion easier and smoother.

Who benefits from this 2 wheel frame?

The 2 wheel frame is an excellent choice for people with reduced upper body strength, poor balance or difficulty holding their weight. Thanks to their wide base of support, a 2 wheel walker is very appropriate for people who are too weak to use walking sticks safely. This walking frame allows the user to walk more slowly than a rollator.

The two front wheels and rear skis, allow you to drag the frame across the floor. This significantly reduces the risk of tripping and makes it easier to move the frame across the floor without the need to lift. The rear glides make them less likely to ‘run away’ than a 4 wheeled frame and will allow a more ‘flowing’ movement, than with a non-wheeled walking frame.

Where can you use the walking frame with wheels and skis?

This walking frame is designed for use around the home but can be used outside, on smooth level surfaces.

Easy to use Mobility Walking Frame

With the press of a button, the frame folds flat to a width of just 11 cm. The sides of the frame then collapse inwards – making it very easy to transport in the back of the car or store safely while not in use.

This zimmer frame weighs 3 kilograms and can be safely used by people up to 180 kilograms in weight. A basic set-up and operation guide is shipped with the product, to support easy and correct height adjustment.
